John Bruno ‘Avatar’ Rumored to Create Renesmee’s Visual Effects for Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn

According to John Bruno’s IMDB page, he will be working on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts One and Two and John has the same title for both parts of Breaking Dawn.John Bruno was the visual effects supervisor for the blockbuster movie Avatar.

 @MackenzieFoycom is stating that John Bruno has been recruited to Breaking Dawn “to make baby Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) grow at her rapid rate.

Breaking Dawn Location Details to be Filmed in Brazil

The first and most bombastic is that Stephenie Meyer should come to Brazil, along with Rob and Kristen, to accompany the footage. Yes, she, the author, the creator of everything, must step in Brazilian soil as a producer on the film. YAY!

The second is that the information coming from Taylor, with 99.9% certainty, it is pure speculation, and Mackenzie Foy. Just Rob and Kristen, and Sebastião Lemos and Virgüez Carolina should participate as actors of the recordings on national soil, which makes more sense.

Information from other sources realize that the equipment will be rented from filming in Sao Paulo and transported to the River is estimated that only with the rental of equipment will be spending approximately one million dollars. Helicopters were reserved for aerial filming and three different islands were surveyed for the filming.

Regarding LAPA as location, the information that we obtained, it is possibly one of the two potagonistas scene in a taxi on arrival at RJ because they need a busy place, with many people and strong illumination.

Paraty is even the HQ team and cast, which can be divided into two hostels to luxury. It can happen to wear one of the hostels as a location for scenes in the house of the Isle Esme. A security firm was hired to err ... give full security to the crew and actors during the entire stay and armored cars have already been reserved.

Kaure, the maid of the Isle Esme and the first person to realize that Bella was pregnant, must be interpreted by Carolina Virgüez, Colombian naturalized Brazilian actress with several awards and nominations as best actress in several plays nationals.

There will be 4 and half days of filming.

Some people on the team must arrive before the actors to 'prepare the ground "and meet with service providers. On 3 / 11 there will probably be a meeting between these people so that each of the functions being transferred.

A Portuguese teacher should make the team.

About accommodation: The Globe reported recently that should stay at the Copacabana Palace, which hosts almost all the artists who go to Rio, as was the case of U2 and the Rolling Stones, but this hotel is very far - about 3 hours Car - the filming locations, however, helicopters are used for locomotion, in less than 30 minutes to arrive locations and this would confirm that the lodges would be used as a backdrop for the island home of Esme and interior scenes.

Twilight Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg Expands Breaking Dawn Story and characters that Stephanie introduces.

Fans of the “Twilight” films are going to have a little added story to sink their teeth into.

The previous movie adaptations of Stephanie Meyer’s vamp-lit juggernaut have gone pretty much by the book, but with the final novel “Breaking Dawn” being broken into two feature films, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg tells PopcornBiz she’s enjoying a little more leeway to add some fangy flourishes of her own.

“I did actually [get to do that], because we got to fill out the story because we're doing the next two movies,” said Rosenberg. “So there was room to play and expand on some of the characters that Stephanie introduces. That was a lot of fun.”

“It's a much more grownup movie – It's an adult story,” the writer said of evolving the franchise beyond its high school origins. “The stakes are raised even higher because it's not the story of teens. It's the stories of grownups, so we're talking about marriage and children and family – and these are pretty grownup things, but sexy.”

Rosenberg says the highlight of the story will be seeing Kristen Stewart’s character Bella become a vampire at long last. “Kristen gets to make the transformation and that is going to be so exciting to see. [Director] Bill [Condon] and I talked about it in developing this script and the screenplay. Now she's going to embody it. It's going to be so great.”

Rosenberg, who penned all of the “Twilight” films and previously wrote for Showtime’s “Dexter,” hasn’t quite adjusted to the fact that, minus a few rewrites, her bloody good run is coming to a close.

“It's a shocking experience after four years to not be writing ‘Twilight!’” she said.

Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed Talk BREAKING DAWN and More at the 2010 Scream Awards (video)

At last night’s Scream Awards, I managed to interview both Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed on the red carpet before the show. At first I didn’t know Nikki Reed was there as the interview started with Rathbone. However, a minute or so in, Reed snuck her way in and that’s when I tried to find out how The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is going. They revealed filming hasn’t yet begun on the final installment, but they both called the script “amazing.” They also don’t know when they start yet. In case you’re not aware, Rathbone plays Jasper Hale and Reed plays Rosalie Hale.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN is Currently Building Sets in Louisiana

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn would film in Louisiana and Vancouver from our interview with producer Wyck Godfrey.  Today, one of the stars of franchise, Nikki Reed, told Hollywood Life she will start filming in “just over a week.”  We have confirmed through two sources that the production is currently building sets in the Raleigh Studios at the Celtic Media Centre in Baton Rouge, including Edward’s house.  We’ve been told the interior scenes will be shot in Louisiana, while the exteriors will presumably be shot in Vancouver.

Our sources also tell us that Breaking Dawn is not the only movie shooting at Raleigh Studios (we were told the studio is very impressive), as Universal is using the studio for Battleship, and Sony apparently just did some reshoots on Battle: Los Angeles there.

Director Bill Condon posted an update 'The amazing production team members' for Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Bill Condon has a Special Note for Twilight Saga fans updating the development of Breaking Dawn's preparation and production.

Hello fans!

Has it really been five months (and a day) since my last dispatch? In my defense, they’ve been five months spent immersed in the world of TWILIGHT – something I’m sure you can all appreciate. We’re in the thick of pre-production now, juggling everything from casting to storyboarding to location scouting, getting it all ready to go, but I do want to take a moment to announce to you exclusively a few of the amazing production team members who are hard at work alongside me, bringing these movies to life. I hope you’ll be as excited about them as I am:

Guillermo Navarro, who won an Academy Award for the beautiful PAN’S LABYRINTH, is our cinematographer. Guillermo and I have been painstakingly planning each shot, with a team of very talented storyboard artists.

Michael Wilkinson, our costume designer, is bringing his brilliant vision to the styles of all your favorite characters. Michael’s created fantastic looks for 300, WATCHMEN, and the upcoming TRON: LEGACY – just wait ’til you see his take on the vampire witnesses who come to Forks from around the globe.

Jean Black, our makeup designer, has worked extensively with the Coen Brothers and David Fincher, most recently making exquisite, award-winning contributions to THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON. I’m honored to be working with her.

Richard Sherman, with whom I made GODS AND MONSTERS and KINSEY, is on-board as our production designer. Richard’s one of my oldest collaborators and a terrific designer, and you may be interested to know that he also happens to be a lifelong vampire aficionado.

Our Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor John Bruno has been responsible for some of the most memorable special effects ever, with his groundbreaking work on display in everything from POLTERGEIST to AVATAR. He and his team are working intensely to develop solutions to the host of special effects challenges that Stephenie created for us in BREAKING DAWN, including that remarkable kid…

Wonderful, imaginative people all and very exciting, intense times for us. Even with the months of work we’ve already put in, we’re barely underway on the journey, and I do hope to get back to you much sooner next time with more news. Twilight book series  author Stephenie Meyer talks to fans in Twilight Series Theories interview and talks about being emotionally attached to Twilight, her fans, her love for writing and  to be a producer on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, the last sequels of Twilight.

Fansite: Alright, we have a two-parter.  What made you decide to put the producer’s hat on for Breaking Dawn, and what do you think you bring to that last movie?

SM: I don’t think it’s gonna change that much.  I do feel like—I mean Breaking Dawn is tricky.  It’s real tricky.  Now I feel more like we have handle on it, because the scripts and with Bill Condon, I am more calm; but originally, I was very much on the fence as to: “Maybe we shouldn’t make this into a movie”, you know?  Some things really can’t be made into movies and come across exactly the right way, so it was a big struggle for me to go forward.  I knew that it would disappoint a lot of people and that was really one of the main impetuses was that people would be like: “What?!”  I didn’t want to disappoint people.  So I was concerned, so my plan was and still is to be there everyday, and so as a producer I can do that.  And so it’s really a lot about being in the room and you know it’s gonna be a lot of upheaval in my life but I felt like it was important.  And then it’s…you know it’s the last one so I kind of feel like: “Okay I’m gonna commit to it this year, I’ll get it done and then I won’t do that again”.

(laughter)

SM: But…and then, you know, I also—I get to be more involved in some of the—

(chatter and laughter)

SM: I think that we will have a little bit more of a say in the music, which would be a big deal.  We’d have—we’ll be…Instead of hearing about the decisions afterwards we’ll be there when they’re being made and that’s gonna help.  With Eclipse I was pretty much right on the line with producing.  I was very much involved with the script and a lot of the choices, and so it’s not a huge difference but it’ll be really an interesting experience.

(chatter)

TF: We let out a sigh of relief when we heard you were producing.

SM: Well I think that…I don’t know if those sighs were a little bit premature.  I’m not sure that I’ll have that much more that I can do, but I try.  I keep fighting.  I can’t quite make myself give up, so…

Fansite: We appreciate that.

SM: Well and you know the movies, they’re a separate thing and they’re really fun.  They can’t be exactly like the books, and so it’s about finding those key things that really make it have the feel of the books.  But I mean they have done a really great job, and not all of it I get right away because for me it’s like: “No, keep it closer to the story.”  And then afterwards I’m like: “Okay, this is just an alternate but it has it’s merits.” You know there are good things, like angry Edward, that isn’t there in the book and yet, that has a lot of value for you.  And so, there are things that they’re able to do that I can’t and so it’s a nice little compliment.  And like Taylor bringing the love for Jacob, that’s a good thing.  It’s a good thing.

Fansite: And then we just want to know, out of all the things we’ve touched on today is there anything that maybe you want to say to the fans that you haven’t been able to say?  Any message or…

SM: You know, I feel like the fans, they know, they know me.  I feel like they kinda know who I am and that I appreciate them.  I write for myself, and I have to, but I appreciate them because having an audience is a gift and I do not take that for granted.  It is really amazing to sit in a room with people and talk about people that you made up: “Hey, let’s talk about my imaginary friends!”  And you guys care about my imaginary friends, and that’s weird, but…

(chatter and laughter)

Fansite: At least you don’t have to take medication for it.

SM: Exactly! [inaudible] I get to talk to people about it.  I’m not a therapist.  No, it’s cool because writing is—for me, everybody has something different for them.  And you guys all write, in a different way, but I’m assuming there’s a lot of pleasure in it for you or you wouldn’t do it and so you know what it is to have somebody read what you’ve written and enjoy it.  It’s a really big deal, and so I just hope that people keep reading.  I hope they give me a chance.  I hope when my next book isn’t Midnight Sun that people still will give it a chance.  I feel bad that that’s a negative for the fandom and it’s something I that I want to do, but I want to do it right, and that’s just how—and I only write when it brings me joy.

Fansite: Your happy place.

SM: It is my happy place.  And having readers is a different happy place, but a really fun one. And as you can see from the books I love reading.  I love books.  I love being in that world and one of the coolest things with helping, you know making people happy, is [for] a lot of people this is the springboard and then they go on to bigger and better and exciting books.  There’s so many cool things out there.  People that—being a reader is who I am my whole life—and that people haven’t discovered that makes me a little crazy.  It’s like: “No! There’s so much!”  I remember talking to a guy when I was touring for The Host and he was mic-ing me up for the Glenn Beck thing that I did, which was weird.  I haven’t done that a lot where you’re looking at a camera and you’re supposed to be talking to them…and oh it’s creepy.  We’re talking and he’s like: “So you wrote a book about aliens?” And I’m like: “Yeah.”  And I said, “What do you like to read?”  He says, “Oh I don’t read books.  I’ve read maybe three books in my life.  I hate reading.”  And I thought, “That’s because they gave you the wrong ones!”  They gave him the wrong ones and he has no idea of all the stuff that he’s missing.  It makes me a little crazy.  I just want everyone to go out and find Jasper Fforde.  And I want [them] to go out and find Mark Zusak and I want them to find these amazing books and go to the young adult section and find what’s out there.  There’s so much.  If you haven’t read Suzanne Collins, oh my gosh, do it!

Melissa Rosenberg Says the Birth Scene in ‘Breaking Dawn’Breaking Dawn will be Horrific and no intention of shying away from it.

Breaking Dawn is promising to deliver a very graphic one. Hollyscoop spoke EXCUSIVELY with screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who told us how it’s going to go down.

“That is a really intense scene,” Rosenberg told Hollyscoop. “It's a horrific scene. We want to convey all the terror and horror- all the horror of that moment. Whether or not that requires gallons of blood to be spilled, I doubt it.”

“I think it will be much more terrifying from Bella's point of view. We have no intention of shying away from it,” she added.

As for when the script will be done, director Bill Condon told E! recently, "It better damn well be before the beginning of November, because that's when we start shooting."

Breaking Dawn is expected to hit theaters November 18, 2011...still more than a year away! This sounds like it’ll be the most intense film of the whole franchise. So many loose ends are tied up, so it's understandable that the film will be broken into two parts. We’re eager to see it!

Twilight screenwtiter Melissa Rosenberg talks battle scene, honeymoon, birth scene in Breaking and filming Brazil.

"They're coming along," Rosenberg said. "I just flew in last night from working with ['Dawn' director] Bill Condon, prepping the scripts. It's a lot of work, I'm exhausted," she added. Rosenberg also revealed that she's between 75 and 80 percent finished with the two screenplays. "But we're intent on making them the best scripts yet."

Regarding the biggest challenge she faces in finishing "Dawn," parts 1 and 2, Rosenberg said it's the climactic "battle scene" — in which the two opposing vampire groups face off in dramatic fashion at the end of the book — that's proving to be her biggest obstacle, rather than the infamous "birth scene".

"The final battle sequence is a big challenge because it lasts 25 pages," Rosenberg told us. "It's almost an entire three-act story in and of itself. You have to track (kept all in one setting) hundreds of characters. It's an enormous challenge to choreograph on the page and for Bill to choreograph on the stage."

Rosenberg went on to say that perfecting that scene is her "next big hurdle."

"I've written a couple of drafts [of the scene]; I haven't gotten with Bill [to go over it] yet. That's the next big hurdle to sit down with the stunt coordinator and create the ballet."

Rosalie's Motives in 'Breaking Dawn' Are 'Personal' Not 'Pro-Life,' Nikki Reed Says

'It's about her want, her need to be a mother,' she tells MTV News of her character's fight to save the baby over Bella.

One key participant in the birthing scene is Rosalie Hale, who becomes so obsessed with Bella having Edward's baby that she will stop at nothing to see her born — even if it means compromising Bella's life.

When Rosalie herself, Nikki Reed, stopped by to talk with MTV News about her upcoming indie film "Last Day of Summer," we asked what she thinks about her character's firm beliefs on that subject matter and how she'll tackle those difficult scenes in the films.

"Here's how I look at it: I try not to be super opinionated and vocal, because in Hollywood, that seems to only lead you in the wrong direction," Reed said. "I try to relate this particular case to Rosalie and not make it metaphorical or symbolic of anything else."

Reed said Rosalie's strong feelings toward the baby are tied to her prior life as a human and never having had the chance to be a mother herself.

"I think that Rosalie just always wanted to be a mom, and that's how I look at it," she said. "It has nothing to do with being pro-life or anything. I think it's about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she's ever going to have, so she's willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that's how I look at it. It's her own personal desires."

"Dawn" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg also weighed in on the infamous scene recently, telling us she plans to write it so everyone feels the pain of the experience. "I want to see the terror of the experience," Rosenberg said. "I want to have the experience of the fear and feel her pain. I want to feel everyone's pain in this."

‘Breaking Dawn (Pt. 2)’ Scares Away the Competition…’Monsters, Inc. 2′ Bumps Up 2 Weeks

However, it would seem Pixar was well aware of the scheduling conflict as Box Office Mojo reports they have moved the film up two weeks to avoid making moviegoers choose. Monsters, Inc. 2 will now hit theaters on November 2, 2012, a date they currently have all to themselves. That date previously belonged to DreamWorks Animation's The Guardians featuring the voice of Leonardo DiCaprio, but that film recently moved to November 21, 2012.

The Monsters, Inc. 2 move is a smart one. Any Twilight film should be left to its own devices and everyone else should just stay away.

With a yearlong gap between films, 'Breaking Dawn' waits until dusk

After releasing the first three movies in "The Twilight Saga" in a span of just 19 months, Summit will take its time with the franchise’s final two films. Plenty of time.

The studio announced this morning that the second installment of "Breaking Dawn" will follow the first one by a full year, coming out on Nov. 16, 2012. This despite the fact that Bill Condon is shooting the movies back-to-back beginning this fall, which would mean the second film would certainly be ready by the summer of 2012.

Breaking We were already a little perplexed that the first "Breaking Dawn" was being held for November 2011, putting nearly a 1-1/2 years between installments. With this announcement it's clear what Summit is thinking: Stick with the autumn and avoid the summer.
It may not be the worst move from a seasonal standpoint. Despite bringing out "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" in an expectation-laden summer, Summit has been able to gin up only marginally more business for the David Slade film than it did for the November release of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon." (Domestic grosses at a comparable point in the release cycle sit at $288 million, compared to $277 million for "New Moon.)

But in taking its time between the movies, Summit is increasing the risk that that fans will get distracted or lose some enthusiasm.

Warner Bros.' Harry Potter franchise was able to wait longer stretches between a few of its installments -- for much of the film series, a stream of new books kept the property front-of-mind. "Twilight" doesn't have that. It has to hope interest carries over between films all on its own, and that filmgoers don't outgrow it or move on to a new phenomenon in between.
The yearlong wait between the two "Breaking Dawn" films is even more striking because the two movies come from source material that was initially conceived as a whole. No matter where Condon and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg choose to split the book (spoiler alert: Bella's traumatic childbirth is a logical option), for filmgoers it will mean waiting a full year for what’s essentially the same story to pick up again.

With its bang-bang release of the first three “Twilight” films, Summit was initially perhaps a little too worried fans would age up or lose interest over time. With the more languid pacing for the final two, it's possible they may not be concerned enough.
